Corporate Finance Financial Accountant in Italy

Role Essence:

The Financial Accountant will play a vital role in our finance department, focusing on managing daily financial tasks in collaboration with our global team. This position is critical for the support and successful implementation of our global ERP system into the local operations after the go live. The role is 1 year contract based with the potential to became a permanent full time position. The location is based in Milan and offers a hybrid working model.

*You're Our Dream Candidate If You Have: *

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field it’s preferable.

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a related financial role.

  • Knowledge of local tax laws and regulatory standards it’s a plus.

  • Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.

  • Proficient in ERP systems, with specific experience in implementing and adapting these systems preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated to continuously seek ways to improve processes and efficiencies within the finance department.

  • Demonstrates self-discipline and focus, able to produce high-quality work independently in a dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrates a strong ability to collaborate and contribute within a team setting.

  • Comfortable with data manipulation and Excel reporting techniques to streamline tasks and reports.

  • Fluent in English and Italian.

*Key Responsibilities: *

Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of accounts receivable and payable, including processing invoices, receipts, and payments to maintain optimal cash flow.

Tax Compliance: Handle the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring adherence to all local tax laws and regulations.

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; analyze financial data to detect trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost reduction.

ERP Implementation Support: Work closely with IT and global finance teams to integrate and optimize the new global ERP system for local operations, providing ongoing support post-implementation.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with global departments to deliver financial insights and support, enhancing overall company efficiency and success.

Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in preparing financial forecasts and budgets, providing detailed financial insights to aid strategic decision-making.
