About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer role to join Dubai Holding Asset Management . The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Budgetary Support and Policies Implementation
Implement Development & Technical Services policies, systems, processes and procedures, standards and templates in conjunction with building, infrastructure and FM teams to ensure quality-based consistency to local and international standards and alignment with organizational goals, objectives and strategic direction.
Provide feedback on cost estimate, budgetary requirements and feasibility studies related to electrical scope of work in all assigned projects.
Project Planning
Estimate, plan, prepare and assign resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all electrical and related works prior to project execution.
Execute all assigned electrical engineering activities efficiently through meticulous project planning and analysis to ensure all defined project parameters are met.
Prepare the terms of reference, scope of work and time schedules about the consultancy services for the electrical design and installation of the proposed project.
Design & Submittals Review and Evaluation
Review and approve the electrical building and infrastructure design submissions in concept, preliminary, final and tender documents stages ensuring all required international and local standards are met and key requirements are adhered to &/or facilitated.
Attend all design progress meetings and advise on all value engineering activities.
Review, evaluate and comment on electrical fit-out designs such as design of power distribution including cable sizing and protection studies, design of indoor and outdoor normal and emergency lighting systems, cabling systems, design of grounding & lightning protection systems, electrical load flow and fault studies etc., modification and revisions ensuring that they meet the existing building infrastructure design and stipulated quality standards
Project Execution
Monitor and control all assigned building and infrastructure electrical projects scope (i.e. substations, street lighting, high and low voltage networks, relocation of existing services etc.) to ensure that they are completed to the standards required within approved budgets and timelines.
Close out all assigned projects by ensuring proper testing & commissioning, handing over and all permanent services connection.
Ensure that all electrical project engineering activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s health and safety requirements and in compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and provide expert technical advice on all aspects of electrical engineering to other departments to ensure effective decision making.
Relationship Management
Liaison with local authorities and service providers including: DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Du and DDA for projects final approvals and permanent connection services delivery as per project requirements.
Provide expert technical advice on all aspects of electrical engineering to relevant departments to ensure effective decision making.
Attend regular meetings with Business Units, engineers, and consultants to provide an update on project progress.
Lead the site personnel and contractors to execute and complete the job on time at the site
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or any related discipline is required.
Master’s degree is desirable.
PMP certification is preferred.
5 - 7 years’ experience in Electrical engineering services for building and
infrastructure projects, preferably with a project management background.
Experience creating discipline-specific documents for fabrication and assembly.
Working knowledge of the electrical Infrastructure, power substations and industrial
projects are an advantage.
Excellent project management skills.
Proficient in applying engineering principles, techniques, and equipment.
Skilled in design techniques and creating technical plans and models.
Knowledgeable about relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Able to work well under pressure.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
