Clean and paint various warehouse areas using both powered and manual equipment. Respond to general verbal or written requests to perform duties within and outside of the facilities. Utilize various hand and powered tools, forklift, truck, etc.1st shift 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. All shifts Monday through Friday. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
Experience: Minimum two (2) years experience in maintenance / mechanical.• Must have intermediate painting, carpentry, electrical, welding and mechanical skills.• Must have a valid Florida Class E license.• Ability to operate and be certified as an operator of powered equipment as needed.• Ability to assist diagnosing / repairs to electrical systems.• Ability to use a variety of hand and powered tools.• Ability to read, write and count accurately.• Read, comprehend, and interpret technical reference manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, electrical/pneumatic schematics and ladder logic diagrams.• Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently with minimal supervision.• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.• Good written and verbal communication skills.• Must be capable of climbing to heights of approximately sixty-feet (60'), as well as climbing over equipment of varying heights.• Ability to work flex hours or overtime as required, including shift rotation.• Ability to respond to emergencies anytime day, night or weekend.• Ability to work within a team atmosphere.Essential Functions:• Perform repairs / scheduled maintenance on facility maintenance equipment. Oversee weekly sprinkler system test.• Move office equipment and furniture, prepare and paint surfaces within and outside buildings, assist with plumbing repairs, etc.• Maintain and repair various facility components such as floors, doors, walls, plumbing to include fixture replacement, valve repair\replacement, clear clogged drains and limited pipe repairs. • Clear any water/debris and unblock drainage to maintain grounds in a clean and safe condition.• Perform repairs including fixing or replacing dented warehouse storage rack uprights and cross bars.• Perform general housekeeping to include maintenance activities such as painting, cleaning, etc.• Comply with inventory control procedures with regards to the ordering of spare and used parts for the repair of equipment.• Adhere to established federal/state/company safety procedures.• Perform various repairs upon general instructions from by the department lead/supervisor and or manager.• Ensure personal and facility compliance with company requirements as it relates to PSE, Hazmat, HIPAA, etc.• Perform other duties as requested by the department lead/supervisor and or manager.Physical Demands and Work Environment:• Physical demands: o Frequently lift 20 to 45 pounds.o Occasionally lift greater than 45 to 75 pounds.o Frequent bending, reaching and stooping.o Constant walking, standing and pulling.o Climbing up to 60’ using safety procedures and equipment.
Experience maintaining material handling systems in a distribution center environment and experience in electrical field.
High school diploma or equivalent required
