Bring your attention to detail and reliability to our team as a Receiving & Supply Specialist, responsible for providing assistance of procurement services for classroom, office, janitorial, nutrition services, and family engagement. This benefited position is scheduled to work 30 hours per week and budgeted for 1302 hours / 217 days per year. $15.10 per hour. Open until filled.

A typical day:

  • Receives, stocks and distributes classroom, office, janitorial, and nutrition services supplies

  • Ensures supplies are distributed timely and efficiently to staff utilizing the agency supply and order app

  • Maintains an organized and efficient filing system of orders and tasks that are easily available for staff

  • Utilizes agency software to record the accurate amount of items received and attach all packing slips for the Accounts Payables department to review and pay invoices

  • Purchase office supplies if requested by Procurement Manager to fill in when needed

  • Manages and maintains an orderly supply room and copy room

  • Supply room duties include: Making sure all classroom consumable supplies are kept neat and orderly. Insuring the stock level is maintained and notifying Procurement Manager if stock needs to be replenished.

  • Copy Room duties include: Making sure copy room is kept stocked and notifying Procurement Manager if stock needs to be replenished

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent. One year of post-high school studies with coursework in business management or closely related. Accounting coursework preferred but not required. Two years of office experience; one year of college or business management coursework may be substituted for one year of office experience.

Knowledge of:

  • Principals of Procurement

  • Office practices, procedures and equipment use

  • Computer software programs, telecommunications systems, general business correspondence

  • Prefer knowledge of Federal & State Laws, Head Start/ECEAP Performance Standards

    Ability to:

  • Type proficiently

  • Exercise excellent telephone, customer service, and public relations skills

  • Work in a busy environment with frequent interruptions

  • Work cooperatively with individuals with diverse backgrounds

  • Maintain confidentiality of records and information

  • Analyze cost information, bids & quotes
