Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Manager in Vancouver, British Columbia

The Media feature team within the SiGMA (Silicon, Graphics, Media and AI) Platform team builds the operating system platform that powers the innovative local and streaming media experiences customers expect from Windows and XBOX.

As a Senior Product Manager with the SiGMA Media team, you will lead defining, designing and driving the development of new features and initiatives for the Media team, collaborating closely with internal and external partners, including key streaming media partners, IHVs, ISVs and OEMs.

We are seeking candidates who have media experience and a demonstrated passion for the media problem space. Successful candidates will have a track record of playing a leading role with the design and development of audio, video, imaging or media security features or technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive product feature roadmaps, ensuring our solutions exceed the evolving demands of the Media experience landscape on Windows and XBOX.

  • Work closely with engineers to define feature requirements, designs, and delivery targets in alignment with key internal stakeholders and external hardware vendors.

  • Collaborate and drive alignment with a broad range of internal and external partners to bring end to end customer value to life.

  • Identify, elaborate, and prioritize strategic growth opportunities for the Media platform.

  • Contribute to a culture that fosters creativity, diversity, and inclusio.n

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience leading the definition, design and development of audio, video, imaging or media security features or technology.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of technical proficiency and a demonstrated ability to go deep in technical areas as required.

  • Understanding of the Windows OS, Media Foundation, Media hardware drivers, and Windows hardware ecosystem.

  • Ability to synthesize and communicate solutions to complex technical problems.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.
