What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Consultant, you will work on leading projects with a specific focus on decarbonization and energy transition, within a broader team of sustainability professionals. This includes delivering successful client engagements, contributing to diverse projects with multi-disciplinary and integrated teams, leading internal and external business development, and developing new service offerings and leadership initiatives.

You will have the opportunity to work on strategy, modeling and advisory projects in a broad array of sectors.

In your role, you will:

  • Operate a suite of energy-economy modelling tools that support Canada’s public and private sector in more effectively navigating the energy transition towards a lower carbon economy.

  • Research climate and energy policies that affect Canada’s energy systems and emerging technologies adoption.

  • Communicate key insights to policymakers across Canada and C-suite decision-makers by analyzing model outputs.

  • Contribute to the modelling team’s growth strategy by identifying feature improvements that enable Deloitte’s solutions to evolve with market demands.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Bachelor of economics, applied science/engineering, mathematics, computer science or related field – graduate degree in energy system modelling, economics, resource management, and related fields is an asset.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills – experience or formal education in programming including GAMS, R, python, Matlab, or similar languages an asset.

  • Strong understanding of and interest in Canada’s energy system, climate policies, emerging decarbonization technologies and the economics relating to the energy sector.

  • 3-5 years of experience in positions that include economic modelling, policy analysis, energy sector, and related fields.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $125,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
