We are looking for a well-rounded Product Designer II who can define, articulate, visualize, and deliver amazing design solutions. You will be responsible for deep customer understanding through users’ needs, emotions, and behaviors to gather insights that inform our experience design strategy. You will need to be able to communicate your ideas using a wide variety of methods—from providing sketches, to creating fully rendered, pixel perfect high-fidelity designs. You will work closely with Research, Product Management, and Engineering as well as other Design teams and partners to meticulously execute ideas into production.

Responsibilities

  • Create and assess design solutions based on user research input, user goals, and business requirements

  • Work closely and constructively with product management, visual and interaction designers, writers, engineers, and user researchers to iterate and deliver flawlessly. 

  • Help solve complex design problems simply and intuitively, blending brand personality, interactions, and visuals to create delightful experiences   

  • Advocate for design in context of business and user goals

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 3 years experience working in product or service design

  • OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

  • A portfolio demonstratingthorough and polished end-to-end customer journeys.

  • A firm grasp of Figma for design and prototyping.

  • A desire to collaborate with other designers on strategic solutions and a willingness to share your work openly for feedback and improvement.

  • Adaptability to the changing needs of a rapidly evolving business and flexibility to quickly change direction, iterate, and learn.

  • A customer-centric mindset with experience turning abstract concepts into reality.

  • An understanding of accessibility and inclusive design.

  • Ability to representyour workto cross-disciplinary team members, stakeholders, and leadership with excellent presentation skills and storytelling.

Product Design IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $79,600 - CAD $153,000 per year.
