Position Summary

The MBA Classroom Support position will support the blended MBA program and will provide in-class support to the Blended MBA classrooms.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assists with classroom management during blended sessions where the manipulation of the technology and supporting the blended experience.

  • Assist with integrating remote learners into the classroom experience being conducted.

  • Acts as first-level technical support and troubleshooting in the event of a technology challenge or failure during a scheduled synchronous class or immediately escalates in real-time to IITS-identified support teams so as to quickly resolve any issues to avoid or minimize classroom disruptions for learners.

  • Attends a designated number of scheduled classes (for their assigned sections). Class times may start as early as 8am and finish as late as 9:30 during weekdays.

  • Participate and engage in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and programs, including but not limited to serving on DEI committees, serving as a diversity advocate or community liaison for a job search, advising a club, facilitating DEI-related training, and engagement in institutional cultural and celebratory events and programming.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Knowledge of education technology with previous knowledge of Zoom and Engage preferred.

  • Experience in working in an educational environment with faculty and/or students, both in person and at a distance preferred.

Minimum Skills/Abilities

  • Must have a proven ability to work with teams, projects, deadlines and changing priorities.

  • Must have strong computer skills with comprehensive knowledge of MS Office applications.

  • A strong commitment to diversity and work continually to enhance diversity of our students, faculty, and staff.

  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and listening skills.

  • Must be willing and able to work evening hours as required during peak periods of academic activity and be on call on a regular basis.
