Position Summary Information

Position Summary

The Biology Department at Utica University seeks an Animal Physiologist (mammalian systems) with a focus on renal, digestive, reproductive, or musculoskeletal physiology who can contribute to teaching courses such as Animal Physiology and Research Methods for majors, Anatomy and Physiology for non-majors, as well as other departmental course offerings. Research Methods I, the first of two foundational research courses in our research-based curriculum, teaches students fundamental parametric and nonparametric statistical analysis and experimental design. Persons with expertise using bioinformatic skills and analysis of large datasets in their research agenda are particularly encouraged to apply. This is a tenure-track position starting August 1, 2025.

Departmental teaching and research occur in our new, state-of-the-art Science Center that opened in 2021 and includes small animal care facilities, a microscopy room, dedicated research spaces, and custom-designed and outfitted teaching laboratories.

Postdoctoral research and experience teaching undergraduate students are preferred. Ph.D. by the start date required.
