Position Summary:

Serve as the point of contact for employees returning from a leave of absence. This position will facilitate the light duty process and communicate with supervisors and employees to ensure program compliance. Will also assist with event planning for organizational events.

Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Associates degree preferred. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS None specified EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Two years of experience in human resources administering leaves preferred. Working knowledge of FMLA, STD, worker's compensation, ADA. Event coordination/planning, organization management, relationship building with internal and external customers, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience using databases. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Strong communication and listening skills desirable. Ability to work with a multitude of personalities. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to assess immediacy of their completion. Must have strong initiative. Ability to function under stress with many interruptions.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with disability vendor to review status of team members on leave to ensure a timely return to work.

  • Coordinate with leaders to find suitable work for those team members relased from leave areas of opportunities across the organization.

  • Consult with Occupational Medicine for any clinical questions/issues with return to work restrictions.

  • Serve as a resource/point of contact for employees retruning from leave or on light duty.

  • Develop and maintain resources, contacts and opportunities for light duty assignments.

  • Coordinate with organizational Worker Compensation team on return to work process.

  • Serve on the Events Committee and assist with the coordination of employee events and activities such as: Employee Appreciation Picnic, Wellness Activities, Turkey Toss, Holiday Meal, etc.

  • Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
