Position Summary: The digital content specialist is responsible for writing and creating content to be distributed across digital channels, specifically web and email. Compelling content will be designed to attract and retain audiences and create conversions to help grow Unity audiences.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Package existing and develop new content to drive leads and create awareness.

  2. Provide our audiences regular informational and inspirational content through creative messaging and storytelling.

  3. In partnership with other members of Communications, coordinate a robust editorial calendar of digital content for use on blogs, in emails and on landing pages.

  4. In collaboration with key stakeholders and other Communications members seek to understand Unity initiatives, then develop digital content to support campaign goals.

  5. In partnership with the digital Communications team, work to ensure landing page copy is optimized to maximize lead generation and conversions.

  6. Stay up-to-speed with the latest best practices in lead generation and content marketing.

  7. In partnership with other Communication staff and stakeholders, analyze email marketing campaigns and make recommendations for future email efforts.

  8. Analyze current email marketing efforts and make recommendations for improvement.

  9. Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adherence to assigned schedule commitments.

  10. Adherence to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety guidelines.

  11. Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance, and paid time requests.

  12. Able to support a positive team environment in which members participate, respect, and cooperate with each other to achieve desired results.


  1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications. Combination of professional years of experience and education will be considered.

Professional Experience:

  1. 3-5 years year’swriting experience, preferably in an agency environment as a content specialist.

  2. Exceptional written communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members.

Technology and Computer or Equipment Skills:

  1. Proficient with Mac and Windows computer systems.

  2. Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  3. Proven ability to produce compelling content for websites, blogs and email.

  4. Detail-oriented, ability to meet tight deadlines.
