(DWT) is a successful Chemical Detection and Defense Systems company located in Tustin, CA.i iEstablished in 1994, DWT has experienced stable growth over the years and is in prime position to continue that growth with an energetic team of highly talented individuals.i DWT specializes in electro-mechanical and chemical detection/protection products.iiDWT has immediate opening for a CNC Lathe Machinist.i With direct supervision, responsible for operating various machine tools to produce quality parts in an efficient manner. Expert in different controls and machines including Mori-Seiki lathes with live tooling, and Okuma LT-25iiDuties include (but not limited to):Set-up and run Okuma CNC Lathe and Mori Seki NZ2000 lathe with live tooling.Follow management instructions and production procedures.Inspect parts completely looking for discrepancies and blemishes.Operate CNC machines changing cutting tools, adjusting offsets to make a quality part. Work efficiently as to run multiple machines at once.Recommend and select cutting tools, design fixtures and work holdingsContribute to companywide team effort by accomplishing related tasks as directed.Work with a helpful constructive attitude that benefits the company.Maintain a clean work area and fill machine fluids daily.Report and tag discrepancies and not pass on a "bad" part.Work in a safe manner using proper PPE's (Personal Protective Equipment) and report safety issues or injuries to lead person.Other job duties as assignediQualifications/Requirements:A minimum of 7 years experience with setup and operation of Okuma LT25 Twin Spindle Twin Turret lathes and Mori Seki NZ2000 Lathe with live toolingCNC training, Mastercam 19 courses and high school diploma preferredAbility to read and write in EnglishWorking knowledge of GDandT Methodology and experience with tight tolerance partsFamiliarity in machining various grades of aluminum, titanium and steels to close tolerances a plusMust be familiar with Fanuc and Okuma controlsiPhysical Requirements:Must be able to perform repetitive motions and must have strong finger dexterity and good visionPosition involves reaching, bending, squatting and kneelingAbility to work on feet/standing up all dayAbility to lift 50 lbsiiBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance paid vacations and holidays, 401k with 100% matching up to 4%iWork Authorization:No calls or agencies please.
