Position Summary

Aetna Technology Commercial Cross Domain Team is looking for a Senior Product Manager that can lead large scale Aetna Technology initiatives.

  • Provides a consistent and effective operating structure for IT projects through sound IT investment analysis, optimal Aetna Technology resource engagement, and consolidated reporting to both Technology and Business leadership teams.

  • Manages multiple product owners (direct reports as well as cross functional teams) across various initiatives

  • Works with Architecture, Tech Leads, Product Owners, Business SMEs and other stakeholders to develop cost effective and robust Technology solutions that will address the underlying business need

  • Co-ordinates with multiple Product owners and various teams to develop the Program level cross domain view and report to Business and Senior leadership team.

  • Responsible for the budget and/or financial implications of the project.

  • Tracks progress and communicates project status on a regular basis to IT Leadership, Business Owner and all other stakeholders.

  • Responsible for the success of the project(s) by tracking it against various metrics and reporting any risks/issues in a timely fashion. Work on remediating those risks by partnering and collaborating with various stakeholders

  • Manage and coordinate with Senior Leadership team and Business owners to prioritize the IT work and funding needs for the entire Program/Portfolio

  • Establish strong working relationships at all levels of Organization by opening up communication channels and extend the support across the aisle

  • Works with Joint Venture COE team in delivering the needs of Aetna Joint Ventures and Accountable Care Organizations

  • Works with various Business Leads and Sales team in responding back to the Plan Sponsor RFPs for IT specific needs

  • Manage and deliver Customer Commitment initiatives in support of various Commercial Plan Sponsors

Required Qualifications

8+ years in Product Owner / Product Manager Roles

8+ years in Health Insurance Domain

5+ years in managing large scale IT Projects and IT programs

5+ years in working with cross functional teams and Senior Leadership team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Subject Matter Expertise in Health Insurance

  • Prior experience in working with external stakeholders like Plan Sponsors and Vendors

  • Prior experience in managing large scale implementations

  • Demonstrated skills in building/directing an internal team to collaborate with a broad team of SMEs from diverse organizational backgrounds to effectively meet project goals and affect change

  • Effective communication (oral, written presentation) at most senior level

  • Business acumen / emotional intelligence

  • Collaboration and facilitation

  • Relationship management and negotiation skills

  • Critical thinking and problem solving

  • Agile Certified Product Manager and Product Owner (ACPMPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or other similar Product Management certification preferred, but not required

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$124,372.50 - $247,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
