What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be an individual contributor responsible for the efficient functioning of the corporate and purchasing card expense, and expense processes.

About the team

You will work as part of the Business and Finance Office (BFO) within our Central Business Services (CBS) team and report to the Senior Manager, Expense Management. The team is a group of highly motivated, strategic minded and dynamic individuals that support and deliver finance operations across the Canadian businesses.

You are someone with:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance or Accounting, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the field, preferably within a Global organization in a shared service or service outsourcing environment. MBA in Finance and CPA designation are preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel with hands-on experience in developing dashboards and conducting financial analysis.

• Strong experience in developing and implementing VBA scripts with a focus on user experience.

• Expertise in business fundamentals and financial acumen with exceptional Excel skills to efficiently manage large datasets and succinctly present and summarize information for executives.

• Proficiency in SQL and PowerPoint, with additional experience in SQL or other coding languages preferred. Familiarity with major ERP systems and applications such as Concur, Cognos, SAP, Blackline, and MS Access is also preferred.

• Extensive experience in data mining and visualization, capable of presenting data concisely at executive levels.

• Ability to comprehend and execute specific written and oral instructions, including reconciliations and accruals, and effectively communicate findings with internal stakeholders.

• Background in risk assessment, controls, and documentation, including the coordination of expense audit investigations in collaboration with key stakeholders.

• Proficient in presenting expense audit findings to senior executives and guiding them through respective audit letters.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service attitude when interacting with internal clients.

• Excellent understanding of Expense Management processes and procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness of travel and business expenses submitted by new and existing users, including training materials.

• Capability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple priorities and workflows in a fast-paced environment, with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to deadlines and internal client SLAs.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, preferably bilingual (EN/FR), adept in communication via phone, email, Teams, and ServiceNow. Provides guidance to internal users on travel and expense policies and procedures.

• Experience in research, data gathering, and extracting actionable insights from Expense data for analyses and reconciliations, presenting findings and recommending improvements to senior executives.

• Excellent project management skills, including testing and validation of projects, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and global teams to ensure timely completion of initiatives and implementation of change requests.

• Ability to support and optimize system functionality improvements within Concur, focusing on user-friendliness, including analyzing rejection reports and implementing corrective actions to minimize rejections.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $96,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
