Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Triangle Customer Loyalty and Triangle Retail Media, the Vice President, Triangle Analytics, Modelling, and Mar Tech will enable the delivery and optimization of Triangle campaigns across the customer lifecycle. They will lead a high performing team and will be successful by playing an integral role on providing insights that influence the strategy and planning of the greater Triangle team. The team will leverage insights and results to inform planning and program design, build and manage data products that will enable analytics, audience creation and reporting, and lead the process for the build and platform configuration required for capability creation and delivery. The Triangle Analytics, Modelling and Mar Tech team will partner closely with other teams such as Enterprise Customer Analytics, IT and Digital to drive the growth of Triangle KPIs.

This role will shape Triangle Rewards digital & data products while collaborating with engineers and designers to build scalable products that deliver growth and exceptional customer experiences. This VP will oversee a dynamic team of data scientists, data and software engineers and analysts, within an organization that prides itself on continuous learning and development. As a product and data modeling leader, this role will lead the strategic and expert execution of high-impact marketing campaigns and partner with Digital, IT and the dealer network to deliver seamless omnichannel customer experiences. This role will require exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of data-driven decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

Overall

  • Sets the strategy and roadmap for the Rewards digital & data product landscape

  • Ensures a deep understanding of the Triangle Customer Base, leveraging the work and insights from the Enterprise Customer Analytics Team ensuring these insights and learnings are activated through the campaign development process

  • Continues to evolve a high performing organization, aligned to CTC’s core values, with effective measures, people and processes.

  • Builds successful stakeholder relationships with other business and functional stakeholders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and establishing a robust network of partnership across the enterprise.

  • Collaboratively work with teams within Triangle and CTC as to effectively leverage the talent and work across the enterprise and not duplicate work or capabilities

Product Strategy and Vision

  • Working with the Strategy set by the Triangle Program Office, develops a roadmap for the capability development and delivery, and corresponding investment required to support the strategy, and allow for a seamless omni channel customer experience

  • Driving revenue and margin through 1:1 offers delivery and execution by collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure personalized offers are successfully delivered to and actioned by customers through various channels.

  • Development and delivery of data and modeling products (including recommendations engines) by working closely with the external partners, IT, Customer Data Council that will enable customer engagement across the Triangle customer lifecycle.

  • Managing the loyalty customer universe, ensuring accurate data integration and management within the loyalty platform.

  • Digital Products: Drive the development and enhancement of digital products associated with the Triangle Program, such as the Triangle App and its placement/integration on our web properties and marketing programs.

Data Strategy, Modeling, Segmentation & Reporting

  • Working in partnership with Enterprise Customer Analytics, develop advanced analytical models to provide deeper understanding of customer response to campaigns, or create segmentations that can enhance audience development that will refine targeting and drive up customer response

  • Develop predictive models to identify customer behavior patterns and enhance targeting capabilities.

  • Triangle Reporting & Analysis: Lead the team responsible for generating reports and analysis related to the Triangle campaigns with a particular emphasis on tracking customer response and and digital engagement of the customer within Customer Journeys and across the entire Customer Lifecycle. Expose insights that drive business decisions and improve program performance.

  • A key stakeholder of the measurement frameworks generated by Enterprise Customer Analytics; ensure insights and learning about Triangle customers and large scale Marketing Campaigns are understood and leveraged across the Triangle Team in order to optimize campaign performance and customer management.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be an accomplished product leader and will have the ability to work effectively in a customer-oriented culture as well as demonstrated the ability to drive change.

The ideal leader will have experience in Canadian loyalty programs and within the Canadian retail industry. Just as importantly, this individual will be a people leader, capable of coordinating a senior cross-functional team with a portfolio wide view. They will be able to balance a diverse project portfolio, from backend data modelling and segmentation to customer facing loyalty activations integrated into omnichannel customer journeys. They will have experience in leading transformational initiatives in dynamic environments where agile was applied at scale. Besides product management competencies, the successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to influence senior stakeholders and engage with multiple cross-functional audiences beyond their direct remit.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience / background:

  • 15+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within a retail or loyalty program environment with a strong understanding of loyalty programs and their impact on customer behavior.

  • Proven ability to manage in an environment of change and ambiguity and to help CTC take bold, strategic moves in this rapidly evolving technology environment.

  • Proven track record of managing analytical and technical teams, delivering impactful data products and insights.

  • Expertise in statistical analysis, experimentation methodologies, customer segmentation modeling, and campaign measurement.

  • Proficiency in utilizing tools such as Python, R, SQL, or other programming languages to create models, data products and /or digital capabilities and products.

  • Experience managing technical teams leveraging Agile methodology for on-going product development and delivery.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative mindset to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Outcome-focused, customer centric, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize, and to ensure continuous improvement across the entire business
