What you’ll be doing

The Vendor Manager, Real Estate Supplier Governance will be responsible for on-going contract administration and governance oversight for various Enterprise Real Estate and Workplace Transformation (ERE & WT) contracts to ensure appropriate level of diligence is given to drive value within our portfolio.

This role will manage the direct relationship of CIBC ERE & WT 3rd party suppliers and vendor management team(s). The Vendor Manager will follow a structured framework to ensure CIBC ERE & WT contracts are properly implemented, monitored and adhered to through the contract lifecycle. This role will support CIBC's Third Party Risk Management Policy including but not limited to: Supplier Performance Monitoring, Delivery Management, Financial Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Problem Management, Relationship Management. The Vendor Manager will partner with Procurement to maintain and monitor Procurement Roadmap for ERE & WT contracts to track contract expires, auto renewals and termination dates. This role will assist with the development and launch of Governance Frameworks for newly onboarded contracts, and make recommendations to enhance the existing Governance Framework for key Tier 1 Vendors.

How you’ll succeed

  • Relationship Management : Ongoing assessment of 3rd Party Vendor Manager relationship effectiveness & tools with assistance/ direction from Supplier Governance. Manage Governance relationship between CIBC Contract Relationship Managers, Procurement, Vendor and 3rd Party Vendor Manager (where applicable) through leveraging contract insights/key requirements

  • Governance Framework Design/Execution/Management : Assist in managing multi- Governance stream meetings with various suppliers. Execute against a Governance Checklists to ensure: key meeting minutes, action logs, change management logs, corrective action notices, annual audits, Business Continuity Plans (BCP’s), attestations, key reports and certificates are executed, obtained and stored. Ensure timelines are adhered to, and dashboards are updated

  • Service Performance Management : Analyze service delivery models in the various contracts to ensure KPI’s & SLA’s are adhered to. Making recommendations regarding behavioral/performance trends with subcontractor delivering services to CIBC. Ability to suggest contract enhancements to help correct performance issues, enhance clarity, reduce risk, capture evolving business requirements

  • Financial Management : Gather, analyze and track Vendor spend ensuring adherence to contract terms and Total Contract Value (TCV). Work with Vendors/Finance teams and /or outsourcing providers in creating effective standardized reports. Completing financial spend trend analysis, variance analysis, summary dashboards for individual contracts and on a consolidated basis for ERE & WT. Conduct periodic spot audits on vendor invoicing.

  • Contract and Document Management : Contract compliance ensuring vendors and employees are working within the guard rails of the contract.
