Canadian Tire Supply Chain Ed Trainer - CT in Toronto, Ontario
The Supply Chain Education Trainer is responsible for providing education, training, and coaching on organizational policies, processes, and systems to both new and existing employees and external partners. This role focuses on developing and delivering training programs, particularly at the entry level, and offering ongoing support to ensure participants acquire the necessary skills and knowledge.
The main objective is to create and deliver a training program for new hires, while also offering ongoing support and coaching for existing employees. This includes providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes for success. Additionally, responsibilities include onboarding new Vendor partners, addressing inquiries, and occasionally offering advanced training to other internal groups. The trainer will also regularly update and assess the training curriculum to ensure it reflects current practices and methodologies in line with effective adult learning principles.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver training programs through virtual learning or classroom environments
Develop training curriculum including lesson plans, instructional aids, participant guides, resources, and eLearning materials.
Maintain and update eLearning materials and training curriculum to keep them accurate and relevant.
Provide continuous support and coaching to employees within specific functional areas.
Onboard new suppliers by providing training, resources, and support for related processes.
Consult on projects involving the development, implementation, and review of initiatives impacting employees and vendors.
Support various initiatives by creating, reviewing, and improving communication and training materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to validate information and clarify processes.
Stay updated on learning methodologies according to adult learning or corporate training concepts.
Requirements
University degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields such as Logistics, Business, Social Sciences, Humanities, Adult Education, etc.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team.
Strong interpersonal and consulting skills.
Proven experience in coaching others.
Ability to analyze information and make improvement recommendations.
Expertise in using Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
Enthusiastic, motivational, and creative approach.
Assets
Experience or knowledge in adult education and familiarity with Learning Management Systems
Experience with eLearning design software (e.g., Articulate 360).
Basic understanding of Learning Experience Design/User Experience Design.
Previous training experience or strong presentation skills.
Knowledge of supply chain processes, merchandising, advertising policies, processes, or CT systems.
