What you’ll be doing

As a part of the HR Service Delivery team, you'll be responsible for providing specialized knowledge and overseeing the delivery and management of business operational activities primarily in (but not limited to) the areas of Payroll and Time & Absence (T&A). You'll be involved in resolving complex issues in a professional and timely manner while engaging support from internal and external partners as appropriate. You'll work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, and participate in and/or lead projects, cyclical business processes and new initiatives to maximize efficiencies and improve the employee experience.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Please note: Given the regions this position supports, there may be the occasional need to work outside of “normal working hours” and attend meetings before or after the employee's normal work schedule.

How you’ll succeed

  • Supplier management – Provide supplier management support, governance and oversight of outsourced HR operations, incident resolution subject matter expertise, end-to-end service delivery escalation resolution, and overseeing new service and change request implementation.

  • Subject matter expertise – Provide input, analysis and/or perspective in the design, development, testing, implementation, communication, maintenance and assessment of policies and programs, ensuring alignment with overall CIBC and HR strategies. Provide subject matter expertise to the continuous innovation and improvement agenda for HR & Payroll processes and services to achieve consistency in operational excellence

  • Control testing – Identify, design, implement, and execute monitoring and oversight activities including control testing of key processes and operational activities. Create and maintain documentation to support key processes and operational activities
