CIBC Sr. Manager, Analytics- 1 Year Secondment in Toronto, Ontario

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be part of a dynamic team that provides advanced analytics services to assist strategy planning with data-driven insights, reporting to the Director, Channel Strategy & Analytics in our Personal & Small Business Banking, Strategy and Transformation group. As an Analytics Consultant, your work will provide decision-makers with critical data-driven insights, and gave them a deeper understanding of their projects which helped them make more informed decisions. You’ll collaborate with partners from Distribution Solutions, ATM Network Management, Network Strategy & Planning, Product, and Frontline to identify revenue growth and cost saving opportunities by leveraging data and analytics.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Data Analysis – Actively lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of complex data analytics and visualization solutions to ensure quality, depth of analysis, and clear communication of insightful and actionable recommendations.

  • Collaboration – Continuous collaboration with internal and external partners is key to success. Be open-minded, constantly acquire new knowledge, and seek to improve existing processes or form new ideas for sound risk mitigation.

  • Consulting – Understand complex business problems, think in a structured way when solving problems, and present your solutions in a logical way to make a positive impact.

  • Process Improvement - Support the improvements of internal methods, standards, processes, practices, and tools for delivery of data management and analytics. Develop templates and documentation standards to ensure all work products are standardized.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in advanced quantitative business and statistical analysis. You have experience using analytical, data management and visualization tools, such as SAS, R, Python, SQL, Tableau, VBA. Knowledge of CIBC data sources, applications, and system platforms is an asset. 3+ years of work experience in a fast paced analytics environment.
