What you’ll be doing

The Sales Origination Product Delivery team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing frontline digital products with capabilities that address business objectives and enable optimal client experience. As a Senior Product Owner on the frontline sales origination platform, you are accountable for establishing a vision for the product; delivering the product iterations that satisfies user, client and business partner needs; and maximizing business value. This role will be assigned to our Digital Delivery pods who’s focus will be delivering backend solutions and enhancements for our Digital products, channels and sales.

In this role, you are accountable for being the voice of the user and prioritizing features & deliverables. You are accountable for understanding needs of various stakeholders (lines of business, technology, risk, governance etc.) and ensuring alignment across various groups regarding the product iterations. You are accountable for ensuring that the product delivery team understands, and is aligned to the vision and path of delivering the product iteration. You are responsible for monitoring budget spend, benefits realization, and making choices that increase overall team efficiency and maximizes value.

How you’ll succeed

  • Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog - working with stakeholders, business partners, and analytics to understand the business/user/customer problem and develop a product backlog that solves for user problems, meets business objectives and prioritizes work with the maximum value.

  • Understand Digital portfolio intimately – act as primary contact and subject matter expert for Digital products, sales flows, data flow and integrations to fully understand the problem the team is working to resolve. Leverage knowledge of the product, processes and platform, in partnership with technology teams, to support problem resolution and prioritization.

  • Provide a clear vision of the product – ensure that partners across the enterprise and your delivery pod understand the vision and why we are building out these capabilities. Being able to identify gaps in the scope and effectively manage these with your end user in mind.

  • *Support and collaborate on user stories & product requirements * – develop user stories in a collaborative fashion with business system analysts, design, technology teams, lines of business and various members of the product team.

  • Work with and drive alignment with stakeholders – ensure that we are delivering on the right initiatives at the right time and keeping our stakeholders engaged throughout the delivery life-cycle. Understand and manage competing needs & priorities and set expectations.

  • Teamwork – Work closely with your team and protect from outside influences and scope creep. Collaborate with project managers and technical leads and business partners.

  • Ensure each iteration delivers expected result - working closely with the development team to define, design, accept and adapt features; manage release plans & monitoring scope, schedule and budget.

  • Leader of Leaders – You provide leadership support to the product team, pods, and technology & business partners. You provide indirect leadership to product owners and look for opportunities to improve how we work.
