What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC’s Enterprise Managed File Transfer Services Engineering team, you’ll play a crucial role in all matters of Enterprise File Transfer Services. You will provide technical expertise, standards and best practices to technology teams during design, build, configuration, implementation and maintenance phases of initiatives/projects involving Enterprise Transfer tools and level 4 support to resolve technology related incidents. You will determine standards and roadmaps for hardware and software and decide how Security Infrastructure is build and recommend standards for organization wide initiatives based on area of expertise. You will support the operational excellence for the Enterprise Managed File Transfer Services by proposing and implementing mitigative procedures and processes to unsure service uptime with minimal incidents

How You’ll Succeed

  • Technical expertise – Collaborate with colleagues across the company and make informed recommendations to enhance Enterprise Transfer Services related solutions. Weigh business needs against technology offerings, security concerns and provide recommendations to improve the user experience, which are practical and achievable.

  • Governance – Proactively contribute to governance initiatives in the development of company policies, audit requirements etc. Provide technical or business guidance to clients within and outside your own department.

  • Engineering – Lead evaluation, selection and implementation of new and emerging products and techniques; support the development of business/technology proposals by estimating implementation costs and evaluating options.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 3+ experience in: design, implementation and support of technologies and technology-based solutions dealing with Managed Enterprise File Transfer products such as Axway SecureTransport and IBM ConnectDirect. You can demonstrate experience with ServiceNow, Ansible, Access, Excel, and have Visual Basic, Python and Shell Scripting expertise, File Transfer Protocols, File Encryption Algorithms as well as strong Linux OS level knowledge.

  • It is an asset if you have experience with Azure, or working in an Agile framework.

  • You have strong knowledge of: IT Standards, Policies and Procedures and have the ability to use and administer the organization's technology practices, standards and procedures appropriately to diverse situations.
