What you'll be doing
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible as delivery owner for execution of key strategic initiatives. In this role you will be responsible for managing projects of medium-high complexity, including day-to-day project management of the scope, schedule, cost, quality of projects, analysis, data collection and summarization of findings. The role exercises a high degree of independent judgement to develop project plans for projects, including identifying tasks to complete, assigning staff resources, and coordinating the delivery of outputs. The role provides leadership to a team, supporting the development of business cases, outlining project goals, and providing terms of reference, resource requirements, and a detailed cost-benefit analysis. You will be maintain relationships with the Delivery Portfolio Leads and the respective delivery teams, business partners and technology teams to ensure health and financial information is reported in the appropriate enterprise and internal systems timely and accurately.

How you'll succeed
Project Management – Outline project goals, terms of reference, resource requirements, and costs. Create a resource plan that ensures all stakeholders have a voice on the project. Assess the efficiency of the practices and procedures used by a team, and provide guidance that will continuously improve the project plan.
Collaboration – Help internal partners make informed decisions about the development of programs, products, and services. Coach and mentor your teams as you work toward a common goal. Negotiate deliverables and milestones whenever necessary.
Project Coordination – Proactively identify risks to the project schedule and find ways to mitigate them. Monitor milestones; ensure they’re completed according to timelines and budgets. Execute a project plan that strikes the right balance between budget, time, and risk.
Communication and Persuasion – Share ideas, build consensus, chair meetings, and write with impact.
Relationship Management – Develop trusted working relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience. 4+ years of Project Management experience. You can demonstrate a deep understanding of the practices, procedures, and principles required to successfully deliver large projects, from planning to implementation. You have experience managing project financials and reconciliation. You have the ability to analyze detailed concepts, quickly resolve project issues, and assess the advantages and disadvantages of solutions.
You can demonstrate knowledge. Of project management methodology and delivery framework including CIBC Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF). Understanding of various business processes used across Canadian Banking.
You have a degree/diploma. In Business, Commerce, and/or a related field of study. It’s an asset if you have your PMP designation.
