Your role
CBC/Radio-Canada in Toronto is looking for a Senior Marketing Communications Officer to join the CBC Marketing & Communications team. The successful candidate will execute a variety of marketing and communications strategies, projects and initiatives in support of CBC programming and products, and will report to the Senior Marketing Manager. This position requires someone with a passion for content and digital products, and a flair for connecting with audiences. You bring an innovative spirit to your work, and thrive in fast paced environments.
Your experience demonstrates drive and initiative, creativity, strategic thinking and a firm knowledge and understanding of industry best practices, as well as sound judgement and consistency. You’re equally comfortable in both a highly collaborative environment and working independently. Some of the duties for this position may include:
Develop and implement strategic, integrated marketing plans to promote various titles and genres across all CBC platforms.
Conceive, plan, and produce a wide variety of marketing and promotional materials including crafting briefs and marketing plans.
Create and develop promotional concepts and approaches that drive audience tune in and engagement.
Explore, recommend and implement marketing tactics on various CBC and external (ie social media) platforms.
Manage relationships and collaborate regularly with internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with internal creative teams to deliver impactful marketing creative that aligns with the brief.
Provide articulate feedback to both internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated public speaking and networking skills.
Success in crafting dynamic and presentations.
Manage, approve and update program assets regularly.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities.
Championing diverse perspectives and ideas, and differing points of view is critical.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
University or Community College Graduation in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related discipline
Five (5) years of direct experience that demonstrates superior writing, editing and proofreading skills, a working knowledge of a wide range of communications and marketing strategies, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines and multiple priorities
Success in crafting dynamic and persuasive marketing materials including creative briefs
Creative and strategic thinking

Demonstrated public speaking and networking skills
Success in crafting dynamic and persuasive presentations
Leadership skills
Superior negotiation skills and the ability to navigate complex issues to bring about an agreement

Experience working with agencies (creative and planning)
