Senior Manager, Trade Reporting Specialist – GWO - Toronto, ON

Purpose:

The position requires deep understanding of the OTC derivatives trade reporting regulatory requirements, specifically with the regulatory requirements for Canada Securities Act (CSA), Dodd Frank Act (DFA), The European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) OTC Derivatives Requirement, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) OTC Derivatives Requirements, and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) OTC Derivatives Requirement. The position also requires knowledge of Swap Data Repository e.g. DTCC Technical Specification and Agile project delivery methodology to support the build out of our future state trade reporting infrastructure and associated processes and controls. The position will work collaboratively with stakeholders across Operations Control, Technology, Regulatory Business Initiatives, Internal Control and other stakeholders. The person will be responsible for requirements elicitation, test case preparation and execution, issues management and prioritization and providing project updates and relevant materials as required.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide G20 OTC Trade Reporting SME (relevant Jurisdiction Regulations e.g. CFTC, SEC, OSC, EMIR, MAS, HKMA, Mifid and ASIC) guidance to project team and stakeholders –

  • Leading Business requirements, data mapping, transformation rules for a number of assets classes/products

  • Lead workshops with stakeholders and other Trade Reporting SMEs to drive out business requirements.

  • Guide the Project Manager with the creation of the project plan and project updates

  • Lead the UAT execution, document test results, facilitate defect review and prioritization meetings.

  • Analyze impact of change requests on test execution and reprioritize test cases accordingly.

  • Define approach, plan and stakeholder engagement model for the end-to-end requirements process for applicable trade reporting and trade reporting related controls.

  • Investigate external vendor & regulatory technical specifications - DTCC & Unavista Technical Spec, CFTC, EMIR, SEC, MAS, HKMA, ASIC and other applicable Technical Specs to create data mappings and transformation rules.

  • Acquire in in-depth knowledge of DTCC and/or other Swap Data Repository Specifications to work with minimum guidance in data mapping and test case creation exercises.

  • Collaboratively work with the development team to explain functional requirements & data mappings to ensure technical solution meets business requirements.

  • Lead test case creation efforts for the streams you are responsible for

  • Perform data analysis and validation, document field mappings and transformation rules for Droit, DTCC and Unavista integrations.

  • Participate in industry working groups and communicate industry views on rules operationalization and issue resolution.

  • Review and recommend sign off on traceability matrix for test cases, mapping business requirements to test cases.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience working as Business Analyst in Capital Markets

  • OTC derivatives product knowledge and regulatory experience

  • Knowledge of G20 OTC trade reporting requirements/ reporting logic for various regimes (CFTC, SEC, OSC, MIFID 2, EMIR, MAS, HKMA, ASIC etc.)

  • Exceptional business analysis skills and demonstrated success participating project lifecycle. This includes scope definition, business case development, requirements gathering, test script development, deployment, and implementation assistance.

  • Experience in leading a team

Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work two days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
