What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Manager reporting to Senior Director, Newcomer Client Segment Strategy, you shall be responsible for bringing insights aligned to Newcomer client segment goals based on market research and expertise in the design, development and execution of key strategic initiatives.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

  • Understand our clients - Support qualitative and quantitative research and journey mapping to develop deep understanding of our clients’ needs and inform how we attract, engage and retain our clients. Analyze the market to identify competitive gaps in client engagement and experiences. Review CIBC’s existing Newcomer client engagement framework and identify opportunities for improvements. Participate in ideation sessions with product, marketing and channels to identify new opportunities to engage better with Newcomer clients.

  • Integrate across products and channels - Act in a support role in integrating across products and channels to collaboratively design solutions and strategies relevant to our most important segments. Leverage our data to identify trends and deep client insights for the segment to form a view on how and which new clients to attract to CIBC.

  • Perform deep analytics and reporting - Work with Enterprise Analytics, Finance and Client Strategy Insights team to understand current methodology of Newcomer metrics reporting and identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Define clear frameworks for forecasting market share and growth for board level KPI reporting.

  • Execute - Assist in Implementation of new foundational capabilities to attract new clients and launch relevant offers, product bundles and partnerships.

How you’ll succeed

  • Strategy - Conduct external market research to identify opportunities and translate the research into insights to create a compelling business case and recommendation that shall inform and drive how we can build differentiated product offering and value added services for the Newcomer clients

  • Analytics - Perform data analysis to support development and execution of key strategic initiatives

  • Communication - Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to storyboard and develop whitepaper recommendations. You have a proven track record of creating materials shared at Executive Forums and are skillful in using Microsoft’s suite of products

  • Relationship building & collaboration -Able to engage and collaborate with internal partners and external partnerships
