Senior Manager, RESL Channel Strategy

As the Senior Manager, Channel Strategy, you will lead end-to-end channel strategy for RESL products and define and optimize our business mix across sales channels.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Assess channel costs and profitability, define target client segments and the role of each of our channels – mortgage brokers, Home Financing Advisors, branch and digital

  • Drive enabling initiatives to continually move us closer to our optimal channel mix

  • Enhance support to the branch network mortgage sales competencies through the creation of sales tools, training material and sales resources

  • Partner with the Retail Distribution teams to establish a feedback loop to define areas of focus and how to enhance capabilities

  • Define, measure, and track channel key performance indicators to underpin the channel strategy and provide actionable management insights

  • Act as the business subject matter expert to inform the design and delivery of channel-related technology and process enhancements

  • Track sales and distribution trends in the industry among competitors and provide regular updates to management

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions

  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field

  • Experience working in the Financial Services industry, with acumen in finance and business strategy

  • Experience in management consulting is an asset

  • Relentless advocate for our customers through product, process and experience enhancements.

  • An Understanding of Scotiabank’s RESL strategy, key priorities and how they fit within the strategic agenda of the Canadian Banking division

  • Comprehensive understanding of key internal stakeholders, the Bank’s organizational structure and operating model

  • Knowledge of product management best practices

  • A proven ability to navigate complex organizations with several stakeholders to achieve results

  • Critical thinking and innovation skills with a track record of driving results
