KPMG Senior Manager, Product Owner for Purview DLP, ITS Global in Toronto, Ontario

Our Cloud Security team consists of an international cadre of security architects, tasked with the selection, deployment, and ongoing support of security solutions. Our jurisdiction extends across 130 countries, encompassing in excess of 387,000 endpoints as well as over 270,000 network, IoT, and OT devices. We specialize in both cloud-centric and on-premises security architectures. Utilizing Agile methodologies alongside Azure DevOps, our team is adept at designing, planning, and implementing security solutions and configurations that cater to a broad spectrum of clients, use cases, and architectural frameworks.

KPMG is currently seeking a Product Owner for Purview DLP to join our Global Information Technology Group which is part of KPMG International.

What you will do

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, internal business teams and member firms to understand feature requests, prioritize requirements and prepare assessments for presentation to Cloud Security leadership and other stakeholders

  • Own the vision and Product Roadmap for Purview products and ensuring alignment with wider GET strategy and services. Drive product development and adoption. Purview products in scope are: DLP, Data Classification, Insider Risk Management, Audit, Communication Compliance and AI Hub

  • Lead and drive the product roadmap for Microsoft Purview

  • Create and maintain internal product documentation, product pages, product roadmap, regular communications and other materials as required

  • Manage expectations and communications with vendor, influencing their product roadmap to be suitable to KPMG needs

  • Monitor and report on vendor performance

What you bring to the role

  • Experience with Cloud Cybersecurity Technologies including Microsoft Azure.

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security Management and Practical Cloud Security Experience within a corporate environment, managing and developing Purview DLP, Audit, Insider Risk Management, Communication Compliance, and Data Classification

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience

  • Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCSK, CISSP, CCSP, CISA, and OSCP; experience/knowledge in AWS/GCP is a strong plus

  • Self-starter: Take initiative to drive projects forward independently and identify opportunities.

  • Flexible: Adapt to evolving circumstances and embrace new ideas with enthusiasm. Ability to work in a global environment with global internal customers

  • Collaborative: Work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners to achieve shared objectives in a global, multi-cultural environment
