Purpose

The Senior Manager, PMO and Strategic Initiatives contributes to the ongoing success within Global Transaction Banking’s strategy, by defining and developing transformational opportunities while ensuring that all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures

What You’ll Do:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.

  • Oversees and supports transformational projects and maintains executive reporting to support informed decision-making at the executive level.

  • Works directly with key stakeholders to plan; define, document, and maintain implementation activities and timing.

  • Responsible for business case development and tracking/reporting of project and financial status for SIP, Delivery Office and Monthly and Quarter Business Reviews; working closely with stakeholders and finance partners.

  • Owns integrated project plan, status reporting/meetings, and issue and risk management for the integrated projects (identify, document, support/develop resolutions, and mitigations), and appropriately communicates the information to leadership within the documented governance structure, reporting process and escalation processes.

  • Establishes tracking and monitoring systems/tools to measure progress and key metrics to ensure compliance with the operational model on an ongoing basis.

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • Create an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Bank’s Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and Guidelines for Business Conduct.

  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5 +years of business or project management experience in the financial services sector.

  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of Project Management discipline & agile processes.

  • Must be proactive, self-starter and capable of learning new ways of doing things.

  • Excellent organizational skills, relationship management, communication, and problem solving.

  • Delivery-oriented, and demonstrated ability for strategic influencing, stakeholder facilitation, collaboration in cross-functional teams and facility with complex data processes.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and working in high-pressure environment with rapidly changing deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with project stakeholders including senior leadership.

  • Strong technical ability with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Applies superior conflict management skills and expertise to persuade and negotiate effectively
