What you'll be doing

The Senior Manager, Physical Access Services functions as an important member of the Corporate Security team as this position will be responsible for enhancing physical security capabilities enterprise-wide across CIBC, including its new flagship headquarters, CIBC Square. Reporting to the Sr. Director Enterprise Physical Security, the Senior Manager’s is responsible for leading and overseeing initiatives relating to CIBC’s enterprise physical security access program and mandate to ensure associated requirements and objectives are met. This position will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the contracted physical access administrators to ensure service levels are met and to monitor overall program compliance and effectiveness.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Program Management - Lead the overall physical access services mandate and oversee the day-to-day activities of the contracted physical access personnel. Oversee and administer the overall strategy relating to physical access security and pass card systems globally.

  • Physical Security Standards – Development and management of associated standards to safeguard CIBC’s tangible and intangible assets. Identifying, evaluating and recommending methods to mitigate threats to people, property, and information.

  • Program Governance – Monitor effectiveness of programs and report on associated metrics. Implement and oversee a program to ensure associated documentation is maintained according to records retention policies. Developing governance and oversight strategies necessary to fulfill monitoring and reporting accountabilities for standards owned by the Physical Security Team. Perform reviews of CIBC’s Corporate Security Standards, updating as necessary to ensure the standards reflect the evolving operating and threat environment.

  • Relationship Management - Liaise with stakeholders to support CIBC’s security efforts. This will include establishing lines of communication and a network of good professional relationships. Providing advice and support to various internal stakeholders on the overall physical access program and associated administration.

  • Vendor Management - Oversight and management of contracted physical security service providers and ensure vendor compliance with SLA/KPI’s.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate 3+ years of experience in the Corporate Security, Physical Security and/or Enterprise Security Risk Management field with an enterprise-wide or program management level mandate. There is a preference for individuals who can demonstrate direct experience in operating in an environment that included the administration of an enterprise-wide physical access pass card program; Possession of a professional designation in the security field such as ones available from ASIS International (CPP, PSP) would be beneficial.
