KPMG Senior Manager/ Director, Microsoft Azure Data and AI Lead in Toronto, Ontario

We are seeking a National Lead to spearhead our Azure Data & AI initiatives within our Microsoft – Enterprise Solutions practice. This role is pivotal in driving solution opportunity revenue and market share by capitalizing on Microsoft’s growing suite of Data & AI solutions to address our customers’ needs in data modernization, analytics, and AI solutions. As the national lead, you will play a crucial role in the adoption and growth of Microsoft’s Data & AI solutions, working closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to deliver cutting-edge data and AI solutions.

What you will do

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of Azure Data & AI specialists while working hands-on with the team and creating deliverables.

  • Engage directly with senior leadership at customers, partners and within KPMG to drive the adoption of Azure Data & AI solutions, expanding the Microsoft Data & AI footprint within customer organizations, determining pursuit strategies and develop client messaging plans and relationships, applying industry-leading Cloud transformation strategies and practices.

  • Position offering and cross-offerings with local partners as you develop strong beneficial relationships and ensure Azure data solutions are considered as part of proposed solutions with clients, from origination and crafting solutions through proposal.

  • Creating solutions to complex technology business problems/opportunities using in-depth knowledge of client-buyer needs.

  • Demonstrate exceptional sales acumen, with a proven ability to identify opportunities, nurture client relationships, and close deals.

  • Serve as a thought-leader in the Data & AI domain, spearhead speaking engagements, and illuminating industry-specific best practices and emerging technical trends.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and services to propose or develop solutions that align with customer needs and Microsoft priorities.

  • Maintain relationships with Microsoft alliance engineering and product teams to gain access to and provide early feedback on releases, test and document, and demonstration of new features.

  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for new solutions in the Data & AI space.

  • Translate complex technology concepts into tangible business value for customer C-level executives and build business cases that quantify customer value.

What you bring to the role

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in the Data & AI field, with a proven track record of leadership and effective team collaboration, architecting and/or delivering traditional and Azure based Cloud data solutions for clients, with measurable results in a consultancy or professional services firm.

  • Experience interacting with senior leadership levels at client organizations, determining go to market strategies and developing client messaging plans and relationships

  • A strong technical foundation, with a good understanding of data concepts, cloud architectural patterns leveraging managed Data & AI services or platform-as-a-service offerings

  • Prior experience in Consulting/Solution delivery with data solutions including cloud-based Data Warehouse, Azure, Fabric, Databricks, Hadoop, Spark, Data Lake, SQL solutions, Power BI, OpenAI, ADLS

  • A good understanding of the current state of the art solutions in Analytics, Data Warehouses, AI, including trends and what the competition is doing in those areas.

  • Extensive experience originating and closing deals in the professional services space specifically focused on Microsoft Cloud based Data & AI Solutions

  • Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with a proven track record of communicating with non-technical business users by articulating complex concepts to cross functional audiences

  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.

  • A university degree, preferably in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or other relevant field.
