Move Learn Grow
Move Learn Grow is a new, play-based approach to early learning for children with disabilities, emphasizing social integration, emotional well-being, and building long-term life skills.
SkillingUp
SkillingUp is a free program, providing personalized training and support for people with disabilities to feel confident in their digital skills. Everyone should have access to the knowledge, technology, and opportunities to thrive in today’s digital-first world.
Employment Services
MODC Employment Services exists to enable people with disabilities to reach their employment goals. We provide the highest quality service delivery in our sector because of the depth of our understanding, our extensive scope and reach and our advanced infrastructure and resources. As a large organization for people with disabilities, we work closely with disability stakeholders and are a choice employment service provider for employers seeking to access this unique labour pool.
Passport Program
The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) Passport Program is a program that helps adults with a developmental disability be involved in their communities and live as independently as possible by providing funding for community participation supports, activities of daily living and person-directed planning. The program also provides funding for caregiver respite services and supports for primary caregivers of an adult with a developmental disability.

The opportunity
March of Dimes Canada (MODC) seeking a strategic fundraiser with a passion for building high-impact corporate partnerships to support our vision of an inclusive, barrier-free society for people with disabilities.
To achieve that vision, MODC is taking bold steps to reimagine our organization and the impact we can make catalyzed by the revitalization of our brand, and the launch of a bold new multi-year fundraising campaign that will engage our community like never before.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Philanthropy, the Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships will play a key role in designing, building, and managing strategic corporate initiatives that drive revenue growth and advance MODC’s mission. This role focuses on creating transformational partnerships with a wide range of companies—leveraging opportunities such as employee giving programs, cause-related marketing, shared value initiatives, sponsorships, in-kind contributions, and philanthropic donations—to drive meaningful influence.
As an inclusive and supportive leader, the Senior Manager will provide mentorship and day-to-day supervision to one direct report, while actively collaborating with colleagues across the Philanthropy team to foster a cohesive and high-performing environment.
The ideal candidate brings an entrepreneurial mindset, a high level of creativity, and a passion for creating meaningful, values-driven partnerships that deliver lasting social impact.
MODC offers a flexible hybrid work model, combining remote work with a minimum of three in-office days per week. Located at Don Mills and Sheppard in Toronto, this arrangement supports thoughtful planning, stronger collaboration, and improved outcomes.
Responsibilities
• In collaboration with the Associate Vice President, Philanthropy, and the Executive Director, Skills Development and Employment, support the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the $70M campaign strategy.
• Maintain a personal portfolio of high-value individual prospects and donors to achieve fundraising targets.
• Meeting face-to-face with current and potential donors to discuss giving interests and opportunities.
• Monitor and evaluate campaign activities to ensure that financial goals are achieved.
• Closely collaborate internally with the Philanthropy team to ensure appropriate identification, segmentation, cultivation and stewardship of donors.
• Energize, motivate, and inspire internal and external stakeholders to actively contribute to and achieve the campaign goal.
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to create materials and messaging tailored for specific audiences and revenue channels that will be involved in the campaign.
• In collaboration with the Associate Vice President, Philanthropy, and the Executive Director, Skills Development and Employment, support the campaign’s annual and multi-year budgets, track progress against financial goals, identify potential risks, and recommend strategies for mitigation.
• Oversee the preparation of campaign communications, including proposals, gift agreements, partnership agreements and stewardship materials.
• Actively support and participate in relevant campaign committees.
• In collaboration with the Associate Vice President, Philanthropy, and with support from other members of the Philanthropy team, develop and implement donor and partner recognition strategies for the campaign.
• Liaise and work closely with volunteer leaders on campaign plans, meeting preparation, progress reports, benchmark reviews and other tasks as needed.
• Lead the project management of a mid-campaign review to assess alignment with campaign objectives, and oversee a comprehensive end-of-campaign evaluation to capture key insights and provide strategic recommendations for future campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to one (1) direct report supervising daily activities, setting clear performance expectations, and ensuring alignment with team and organizational objectives.
• Provide leadership, training, and support to colleagues and volunteers who serve as partners in campaign activities.
• Ensure accurate and transparent recording of gifts and activities in the donor management system and oversee appropriate recognition and appreciation activities.
• Serve as a brand ambassador and advocate for the organization, representing its mission, values, and impact to donors and funder.
Qualifications and experience
• Minimum of seven years of progressive fundraising experience, ideally within the non-profit or charitable sector.
• Proven track record leading or supporting comprehensive, multi-year fundraising campaigns.
• Demonstrated experience to close major gifts at the $25K+ level. Experience in designing and implementing successful, individualized strategic cultivation and solicitation strategies to targeted donors.
• Experience managing a personal portfolio and moving prospects through the full donor cycle (identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship).
• Comprehensive knowledge of the donor relationship cycle, moves management principles, and major gift development strategies such as cultivation and stewardship.
• Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
• A personable, positive, and proactive attitude.
• Analytical thinking with the ability to interpret donor data and inform strategy.
• Proven experience cultivating and managing relationships with volunteers in a fundraising and/or campaign setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences, including donors, volunteers, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills, including proposal and case development.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience managing budgets and preparing financial reports.
• Strong ability to clearly articulate key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes tailored to funders’ requirements.
• Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and administrative skills.
• Sound and independent judgement; ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion where required.
• Demonstrated sound judgment and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, with minimal administrative support.
• Technological fluency, including data systems and CRMs, such as Salesforce, with experience using reporting applications and dashboards.
• Competent in using data-driven insights to measure performance and optimize fundraising tactics.
• Ability to work in a results-driven environment to meet fundraising metrics and goals.
• Demonstrated familiarity with, and a strong commitment to, understanding and supporting the unique needs, rights, and experiences of people living with disabilities (PLWD).
• Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.
• Work outside regular office hours on occasion as needed.
