What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Manager, Business Effectiveness, you will play a pivotal role in helping drive key initiatives across Business Banking. Reporting to the Director, Business Effectiveness, you will be responsible for the planning, analysis, and execution of projects that focus on process improvements and strategic objectives. This role requires a professional with a strong background in managing projects, a process improvement mindset, and the ability to leverage data analytics to deliver impactful results. You will collaborate closely with various business partners, including Business Banking Frontline, Operations, Finance, Technology, Product, Legal, and other key stakeholders, to ensure successful project outcomes.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Project Execution - Drive the execution of strategic initiatives, with the support from Project Manager and the Director, focusing on identifying and addressing key issues and opportunities for improvement.

  • Process Improvement - Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions that enhance operational effectiveness. Implement and monitor process changes to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Data Analytics - Use data analysis to scope, evaluate, and prioritize new initiatives, ensuring recommendations are based on solid evidence and aligned with both business objectives and risk considerations.

  • System Enhancements - Collaborate with Technology and other stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement system enhancements that support business needs and improve overall efficiency.

  • Procedure Development - Draft, review, and refine business procedures to ensure they align with risk management practices, business objectives, and are easily understood by senior leaders and all other relevant stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with internal teams to ensure all aspects of project implementation are cohesive and aligned with overall business strategies.

  • Training and Communication - Develop and deliver training materials to ensure stakeholders are well-prepared to adopt new processes and systems. Clearly communicate project goals, updates, and outcomes to senior leaders and other key stakeholders.

  • Operational Excellence - Contribute to the organization’s success by balancing the need for the achievement of business objectives with effective risk management, making informed business recommendations.​

Who You Are

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • You have proven experience in process improvement, managing projects, and data analytics. Familiarity with system enhancements is preferred. Front line business or commercial banking experience in a customer relationship management facing role is a strong asset.

  • You are self-motivated. You have demonstrated ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.

  • You are innovative. You apply critical thinking and creativity to develop and recommend innovative solutions that meet business needs and drive positive outcomes.

  • You are collaborative. You build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • You have strong problem solving/analytical skills. You have strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to think critically and make data-driven recommendations to leaders. Excellent communication skills and influencing skills are critical to gain commitment and support desired business objectives.

  • You can execute independently. You help manage and deliver projects with minimal supervision, demonstrating accountability, strong analytical skills, and the ability to help drive initiatives to successful completion.
