Purpose

Responsible for enabling data driven decision making in alignment to International Banking’s Retail strategy. This role involves analyzing business trends and drivers, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and growth. The incumbent will work closely with Segment, Product, Channel and Country Leaders as well as support functions to align business objectives and financial goals.

What You’ll Do:

Promotes a culture of data-driven decision making and coaches stakeholders in the proper use of analytical frameworks, methods, and tools.

Acts as the main data steward of business performance indicators, providing guidance on key performance indicators definition and strategic alignment, and increasing awareness of them across the organization.

Leads strategic business analysis leveraging client financial and non-financial data identifying growth or operational efficiency opportunities.

Leads ad-hoc analytical support on general business line inquiries and in-depth segment, product and channel reviews.

Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Banks risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates the Banks risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.

Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and master’s degree preferred in Analytics/Business/Economics.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the financial sector.

Demonstrated strategic influencing ability, and a high degree of collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Results-oriented and problem-solving mindset.

Proven experience in leveraging advanced analytics, including Big Data analytics, AI/ Machine Learning.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Experience in applying agile principles and practices.

Work Arrangement:

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
