Senior Financial Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, Shared Services Projects, Payments and Reporting, the qualified individual's main responsibilities are to perform monthly various GL Reconciliations, Vendor Statement Reconciliations, and Audits relate to Accounts Payables. The individual will also perform ad-hoc reports and analytics as well as back up forteammates.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare monthly GL Reconciliations for Accounts Payables, such as the AP Liability and AP Sub-ledger reconciliation, AMEX BIP and Scotia VPAY reconciliation, Oracle Cloud conversion related account reconciliations, etc.

  • Perform monthly variance analysis on vendor spend and prepare the deliverables for KPMG quarterly audit

  • Complete monthly vendor reconciliations and actively work with BU to ensure vendor statement ties to AP Trial Balance

  • Perform various audits for Rogers Procurement Policy violations

  • Assist with AP recoveries forecasting

  • Back up to various AP functions within and outside of the team

  • Identify issues, analyze, problem solve and provide recommendations for process improvements such as automation

  • Execute ad-hoc analytics as required by BU and ELT teams. Develop dashboards and reporting views for review and approval by executives

  • Provide transition support and audit process documentation

  • Assist in projects related to Accounts Payables, such as testing of quarterly Oracle patches/upgrades, regression testing, review and validate QA test results.

What You'll Have:

  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in an accounting or financial analysis environment

  • Strong technical accounting skills with an accounting designation (CPA) or MBA or in progress

  • Advanced Excel skills required, including maintaining Macros and use of complex formulas for large volumes of data

  • Process improvement and automation experience and ability to think outside of the box

  • Experience with Oracle ERP and Account Payables operations is an asset

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ease with communicating with various levels in the organization

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and objectives in a fast-paced environment with timelines

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving skills and detailed oriented•Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaborative skills

  • Self-starter with minimum supervision

This is a hybrid work position and will require you to be in office three days per week. You can choose which days in office work best for you!
