Canadian Tire Senior Financial Analyst, AI Business Value Assessment in Toronto, Ontario

What you'll do

  • Enhance our existing BVA framework to effectively prioritize AI project investments

  • Collaborate with project teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring AI project benefits.

  • Collect, document and analyze data to assess the pre-launch and post-launch impact of AI initiatives on business outcomes. Analyze revenue streams, cost savings and other financial factors.

  • Identify potential risks, assumptions and uncertainties that may impact financial outcome of the project.

  • Report to management through comprehensive scorecard that captures both quantitative and qualitative aspects of AI project benefits. Present findings in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision-making at various levels within the organization.

  • Continuously refine methodologies, tools, and metrics to measure the impact of AI on business value.

  • Establish a robust process for tracking and monitoring the progress of AI project benefit over time.

  • Track costs as each projects moves through different stages of internal framework.

  • Support Cost-Benefit-Analysis for the projects.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, research publications, and case studies to uncover additional potential benefits of AI adoption. Evaluate their relevance to our organization and incorporate relevant findings into our BVA framework and benefit measuremen

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional accounting/finance designation (CPA, CFA) is an asset.

  • 2-5 years experience in analytical role

  • Proven experience in measuring project benefits and financial modeling

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills paired with solid interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, PeopleSoft Financials and KNIME is an asset.

  • Interest of learning AI technologies and their applications across different industries.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies is a plus.
