As Senior Enterprise Solutions Technical Lead, Office & Space Modernization, you will report to the PortfolioManager, ModernTO, and will be part of a Technology team providing both leadership, as well as accountability for the development and implementation of multiple strategic modernization initiatives. With a focus on the Customer, you will be a driving force within the Programs.

This key leadership role delivers projects and programs in alignment with the City’s Corporate Strategic Priorities and the Technology Services Divisional Priorities and Leadership Philosophy.

This role will focus on strategy, planning (short and long range), solutioning, and implementation of the Office & Space Modernization Portfolio, with a forward-looking approach to meetevolving business needs throughout theCity of Toronto. It will also develop the knowledge transfer strategy together with the operational support and sustainment model as the portfolio transitions to the Operations Support Services teams in the future.

As Technical Lead, you'll be leading the technology modernization of audio-visual office space hardware and related supporting components across all Divisions and Agencies, Boards, Commissions & Corporations within the City of Toronto. Exceptional relationship management, change management, and program/project management skills will be essential to be successful in this role, as you will be working with many people across all Divisions and ABCCs.

You will be overseeing a team of technical and project team members, providing them with guidance, leadership and subject matter expertise through the strategy, initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring, closing, and sustainment processes of this portfolio.

You will beproviding innovative, resourceful solutions, identifying approaches, concepts, and methods of analyzing complex and sometimes competing priorities. The work in this portfolio is high profile and one of the top priorities for the Technology Services Divisional Senior Leadership Team. It is also the top priorities for other Divisional Senior leaders as it contributes to their staff productivity and user experience.

Having previously delivered transformational Office Modernization programs from start to end, you're well equipped to work with diverse teams and stakeholders at various levels to shape and define projects through the development of timely artifacts, including the preparation of planning materials, work plans, reports, briefing notes, and presentations. You're equally prepared to conduct research and analysis, bringing conclusions forward to the client/stakeholders for strategic discussion, or to contribute to the development and implementation of technology solutions.

You will p rovide hands-on expertise in the areas of:

  • Accountable for the development and implementation of the audio-visual hardware and related components for the City of Toronto.

  • Support the creation of the overall strategicroadmap of the audio-visual program over the next two years and beyond, including sustainment and life-cycle management.

  • Ensurealignment with the Technology Services Division business strategy, roadmap, and platform governance policies.

  • Create and preside overOffice & Space Modernization PortfolioSteering Committee and be a leading conduit rolling up to the Executive Steering Committee.

  • Preside over design configuration decisions to ensure a seamless user experience that aligns with the portfolio’s design strategy.

  • Designs and architects scalable and sustainable solutions that align with business objectives and industry best practices.

  • Configures and customizes sustainment modules, including but not limited to IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (HAM/SAM), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), and Application Portfolio Management (APM).

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Technology Services team and otherdivisionalstakeholders on audio-visual capabilities, best practices, and implementation strategies.

  • Hands-on development and implementation of audio-visual solutions, including workflows, forms, business rules, etc.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, configuration specifications, knowledge articles, and deployment procedures.

  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal team members on audio-visual features, functionality, and best practices.

  • Provide In-depth knowledge of audio-visual security considerations, including roles, permissions, and access controls.

Partnership, Vendor & Relationship Management:

  • Develop ongoing positive working relationships within Technology Services, as well as with client and partner Divisions. Foster collaboration and service excellence in cross­ functional teams, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership across theorganization.

  • Build collaborative relationships with City stakeholders and senior management and assists them in recognizing where Technology Services can add value to, transform or support program operations.

  • Foster and manage external partner relationships and manage large, complex contracts to deliver transformation programs and value for the City investments.

What you bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relatedfield.

  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) from AVIXA highly preferred.

  • Microsoft Teams Rooms Certified Systems and Peripherals, Microsoft Teams Devices Certification Program, or Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro and Basic Licenses desired.

  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) or Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified Power Platform Fundamentals desired.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred.

  • Knowledge of infrastructure and architecture to support audio-visual platforms.

  • Hands-on experience in configuring and customizing audio-visual hardware, including workflows, forms, business rules, UI policies, and integrations.

  • Hands-on experience with audio-visual integration technologies.

  • Previous experience in a leadership role with a track record of successfully leading and managing cross-functional teams.

  • IT operations experience across IT practices, enterprise processes, and portfolio levelimplementations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; Both technical and non-technical at varying levels within the organization and partnering ABCCs.

  • Experience in design, architecting, and implementing Strategic Portfolio Management and Application Portfolio Management.

  • Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including configuration specifications, knowledge articles, implementation plans andprocedures.

  • Proficient in creating and maintaining project management documentation.

  • Experience in providing training and knowledge transfer to internal team members on Office Modernization platform features, functionality, and best practices.

  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes andprinciples.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep attention todetail.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment.
