Why is this role important?

The Analytics team has four key roles:

  • Collecting, processing and sending behavioural signals to analytics reporting services and machines to empower teams to make data driven decisions

  • Collaborate with multiple data teams to build a singular store for data collected to be at rest

  • Transition from client side to server side data collection

  • Enforce user privacy controls in the data collection pipeline

The Analytics products rely on understanding and improving the site and content metadata that our CBC digital teams rely on. The work done to improve the health of our metadata helps improve the ability for CBC to deliver amazing content to our audiences.

In this role you will be collaborating with:

  • Product teams developing content management systems;

  • Product teams developing content delivery systems;

  • Product teams that build machines to better utilize data;

  • Teams that build audience facing products;

  • Business intelligence;

  • CBC audience research analysts;

  • Radio-Canada audience research analysts;

  • Corporate research analysts

How you will make an impact:

  • You will contribute to the web and server-side data pipelines to enable value from data for both producers and consumers of data.

  • You will help the team build data agreements with teams that rely on data, meeting the commitments through monitoring and automated or manual tests.

  • By collaborating with source and consumer data teams, using tools such as Appium, Selenium and Cypress as well as manual testing, you will help the organization trust in the data they are consuming.

What you bring to our team:

  • Expertise in JavaScript, Java and Python

  • Experience with automation testing frameworks like Playwright is nice to have

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or equivalent is nice to have

  • Experience with implementing Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is a nice to have

  • Experience with implementing Adobe Media Analytics is very nice to have

  • Experience with implementing Amplitude or a similar Product Analytics tool is a nice to have

This role offers the possibility of full-time telework or Hybrid.
