Your role

You execute efficient digital advertising campaigns across a variety of platforms. You have a creative vision for social advertising: you know what works and why. You excel in ad managers for TikTok, YouTube, Meta, Snap and more; and are ready to adapt quickly to new and emerging platforms. You understand how to set objectives, choose the right tactics, and measure your success. You have sound judgment, attention to detail, and value giving and receiving feedback to improve our shared outcomes. You treat others with empathy, respect, and enthusiasm.

As a Senior Communications Officer, you are a cross-functional leader that helps shape the future of CBC. In collaboration with our marketing, creative, content, and product teams, you use your passion for digital marketing and public good to help deliver on CBC’s business objectives.

Some of the duties for this role will include:

  • Contribute to integrated marketing plans including recommending platforms, tactics, audiences, and measurement to support specific business objectives.

  • Work closely with in-house creative teams to develop innovative ads that are grounded in best practices and emerging trends.

  • Collect, analyze, and socialize campaign insights through written reports and compelling presentations.

  • Track and assign budgets across multiple projects and verticals.

  • Work cross-functionally with teams across the organization from Marketing, Creative, Digital Products, Events Finance, and others.

  • Support maintenance of internal resources (best-practice documents, etc.).

  • Other related tasks as required.

  • A proven ability to craft content on multiple digital and social media platforms, such as YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit and Snapchat.

  • Genuine interest in evolving marketing and advertising trends.

  • Solid understanding of digital marketing and consumption metrics and ability to analyze data to identify opportunities and successes.

  • Championing diverse perspectives and ideas, and differing points of view is critical.

  • Demonstrated creative and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team with shared responsibilities and outputs.

  • Flexibility in work hours as operations demand, including the ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, is required.

  • Basic understanding of CBC programming and brand.

  • Bilingualism is a preferred asset.

  • Proven ability to effectively maximize available resources.

  • Successful at managing multiple projects simultaneously while working with tight deadlines.
