What You’ll Be Doing

You will report to the Director, CanBank PMO & Delivery. You will be supporting the planning cycles for the Canadian Banking Project Portfolio investments by coordinating activities and providing key organizational and administrative support to the management team, including but not limited to tracking, communications, reporting of project/program funding asks, and documenting risks/issues as required.

This position carries with it a high level of thought leadership and requires interaction with management across Canadian Banking line of businesses.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Canadian Banking Project Portfolio Planning Coordination – You will be a critical support to the Canadian Banking PMO and Delivery community. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Support establishing a communication/roll out plan to lead fiscal planning cycles activities for the Canadian Banking portfolio through the development internal communications and engagement activities with partners and stakeholders (e.g. Canadian Banking Delivery teams / EPMO / SGI Office / Finance / Technology Partners etc.)

  • Support and manage business input from Canadian Banking Line of Business Leadership and teams through the planning cycles as per EPMO’s calendar of activities.

  • Assist with leadership reviews on planning progress by preparing executive material drafts, recording risks/issues identified and communicate with stakeholders as required to keep material current, provide administrative support and produce meeting minutes, ensure action plans are tracked and open items addressed.

  • Assist in implementing management tools and processes. Contribute towards continuous improvement and best practice development.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain relationships – Advocate/facilitate information gathering and sharing with the Business executives, leaders, owners and delivery managers, EPMO, Strategic Growth Initiatives (SGI) Office, Canadian Banking Project and Business Finance, and Canadian Banking Executive and Leaders throughout the execution of Portfolio Planning functions. Work closely with various teams towards a common goal and negotiate deliverables and milestones, as required. Seek and foster cooperation at all times to timely achieve shared business goals and priorities.

  • Contacts partners and maintains ongoing open communication with transparency with primary stakeholders within the Canadian Banking business areas to ensure oversight and alignment on all for Canadian Banking programs, projects and initiatives information tracked and reported by the Canadian Banking PMO

  • Maintains ongoing productive working relationships with other stakeholders across functions such as Finance, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Audit, Project Management Office, Strategic Growth Initiatives (SGI) Office, Channels, other Segments Business Units, etc.
