Project Coordinator, Vision Mate Programs

We're looking for a mission-driven Project Coordinator, Vision Mate Programs who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB

  • Oversee the strategy and implementation of the Scaling Up CNIB Vision Mate Services for Seniors with sight loss Project and works closely with the Volunteer Engagement team and Vision Mate Program Leads across the country to ensure the project goals are met.

  • In collaboration with Volunteer Engagement team, and the Vision Mate Leads across the country, ensure appropriate entry and capture of data in Salesforces, and represent that data as required internally, and in all quarterly and annual reporting cycles for the Scaling Up CNIB Vision Mate Services for Seniors with Sight Loss Project.

  • Support consistent team tracking and reporting to enable quantitative and qualitative deliverables and reporting criteria.

  • Support marketing strategies that engage Vision Mate Volunteers and attract new participants.

  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training and stewardship of Vision Mate Volunteers across the country.

  • Leads the administrative task related to the Scaling Up CNIB Vision Mate Services for Seniors with Sight Loss Project. Including track expenses for volunteers and Program Leads, relation with vendors .

Who you are:

Education and Certifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field and relevant experience.

    Experience and Qualifications

  • At minimum, a working knowledge of Salesforce CRM database.

  • Experience in ensuring appropriate processes for data gathering and compilation for complex quantitative and qualitative reports.

  • Strong experience in project management, stakeholder relations, cross-sector collaboration and project communications.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support projects, coordinate and manage people respectfully, and use of methods that create accessibility and inclusion.

  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, training and supervision of staff, students and/or volunteers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and superior interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and documentation.

  • Portrays the appropriate professional image.

  • Excellent relationship/team builder and networking skills with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills to work to concurrent and/or conflicting deadlines.

  • Proven time management, planning, coordinating and organization skills; proactive in initiating multiple projects on an ongoing basis.

  • Professional attitude, results oriented, strategic and flexible.

  • Demonstrates mature and sensitive nature when dealing with the needs of persons living with vision loss.

  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.

  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.

Work Environment

  • This position will have a primary base at the Toronto CNIB SmartLife Centre and National Office, 1929 Bayview, but is also inclusive of remote work opportunity.

  • Able to lead and work independently and as part of a team.

  • Periodic travel requirements to meet operational objectives and team initiatives.
