What You'll Do:
The Product Manager, Ad Platforms, will be responsible for steering the product management efforts to expand our valuable first-party audience reach and our advertising inventory offering with a specific focus on enabling self-serve advertising and data clean room solutions critical to our organization’s growth.
This role requires a product platform leader with a deep understanding of digital advertising technologies and a proven track record in digital product management.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage in third-party vendor selection, oversee on-boarding processes, lead a product delivery Agile squad and maintain an evolving product roadmap to ensure our ad platform solutions stay ahead of industry trends and meet stakeholder needs.
Product Management Leadership:
Lead the Agile product management efforts for our retail media ad platforms, focusing on self-serve advertising and data clean room solutions.
Develop and execute a strategic vision for the ad platforms, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, sales and other departments to define detailed product requirements and create a comprehensive product roadmap.
Act as the primary point of contact between various teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the product lifecycle.
Vendor Selection & Integration:
Research, evaluate, and select third-party vendors specializing in clean rooms, demand platforms, self-serve platforms, data management platforms (DMPs), and more.
Negotiate with procurement on contracts and terms with selected vendors to secure beneficial partnerships that enhance our ad platform capabilities.
Onboarding & Go-to-Market Readiness:
Lead the onboarding process for new ad tech platforms, from initial vendor selection through integration, testing, training, and go-to-market readiness.
Manage change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adoption across internal teams and external partners.
Industry Trends & Best Practices:
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in retail media advertising.
Continuously incorporate new insights into our ad platform strategy to maintain a competitive edge.
Stakeholder Engagement & Feedback:
Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and prioritize features that enhance user experience and platform performance.
Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to drive collaboration and support for product initiatives.
Success Metrics & Performance Tracking:
Define success metrics (KPIs) for the ad platforms, including user engagement, revenue growth, platform adoption rates.
Track performance against these metrics and provide regular reports to senior management with actionable insights.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for continuous improvement within the ad platform offerings through regular analysis of performance data and stakeholder feedback.
Implement iterative enhancements to ensure ongoing optimization of platform capabilities.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in product management within digital media advertising or related fields.
Strong understanding of ad platforms and technologies such as DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms), SSPs (Supply-Side Platforms), DMPs (Data Management Platforms), clean rooms.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions based on market research, competitive analysis, and performance metrics.
Experience managing cross-functional relationships and leading projects from inception through completion.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
