What you’ll do:

We are looking for a dynamic design student to join the team in supporting our brands across all sports equipment and footwear categories. As the Product Design & Development Student, you will bring to life trend-relevant concepts by being a colour and graphics specialist at the product and collection level. You will work closely with design, development, and manufacturing to help drive the final aesthetic of each product category. Through research and deep consumer understanding, you will help build meaningful products:

  • Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities, including colour revisions and quick turn around on projects that support the design team

  • Actively participate in the conceptual development of product lines, collaborating with equipment and footwear designers to create palettes and colour flow based on category strategy

  • Ability to plan and execute the product colour/graphic details and review all samples, troubleshoot for achievability issues, and clearly communicate changes to ensure timely completion of each project

  • Proficient understanding of typography design and graphic trends

  • Strong visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present design intent to internal and external audiences

What you'll bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program Industrial Design, Graphic design, or a related discipline

  • Passion for understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture

  • Proficient sketching, illustration, print and pattern, colour theory, and layout

  • Knowledge of footwear and sports equipment product creation preferred

  • Strong Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud

  • Ability to plan and execute the product colour/graphic details and review all samples, troubleshoot for achievability issues, and clearly communicate

  • Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities, including colour revisions and quick turn around on projects that support the design team

  • Knowledge of footwear and sports equipment product creation an asset
