Canadian Tire Integration Architect in Toronto, Ontario

What will you do

Principal Data Integration Architect plays a vital role in ensuring smooth data integration, enhancing operational efficiency, enabling data-driven decision-making, and future-proofing an organization's data infrastructure.

In this role, you'll:

  • Lead the development and implementation of data integration strategies, frameworks, and architecture to facilitate efficient and reliable data movement.

  • Define and enforce data integration best practices, standards, and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design appropriate integration solutions.

  • Conduct assessments of existing data integration processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Design and develop data integration workflows using industry-leading tools and technologies.

  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations during the integration process.

  • Monitor data integration processes, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.

  • Document technical specifications, guidelines, and best practices for data integration.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the team.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data integration technologies.

    What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Integration Architect or in a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of integration and event streaming concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Experience with event streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, or AWS Kinesis.

  • Familiarity with real-time data processing frameworks and analytics tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proactive and action oriented, willing to work with stakeholders to isolate problems and help develop solutions.

  • Team player with a willingness to listen, collaborate, and work in a group setting to solve challenging problems.

  • Value progress over perfection, using a growth mindset to continuously aim to help grow the business.
