We are seeking a skilled Guidewire Developer with expertise in Policy Center (PC) Billing Center (BC), and Claim Center (CC) modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Guidewire solutions to meet client requirements. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and provide ongoing support for Guidewire applications.

What will your typical day look like?

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop Guidewire solutions: Utilize Guidewire tools and technologies to design and develop PC, BC, and CC modules according to client specifications and project requirements.

  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with business analysts, architects, and other developers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

  3. Implement Guidewire best practices: Apply industry best practices and coding standards while developing Guidewire applications to ensure high-quality and scalable solutions.

  4. Conduct system analysis and troubleshooting: Perform system analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues in Guidewire applications.

  5. Customize and configure Guidewire modules: Customize and configure Guidewire PC, BC, and CC modules based on client requirements, including integration with other systems.

  6. Participate in testing and quality assurance: Collaborate with testing teams to ensure proper unit testing, system testing, and quality assurance of Guidewire applications.

  7. Provide technical support and maintenance: Offer ongoing technical support and maintenance for Guidewire applications, including bug fixes, performance optimization, and enhancements.

  8. Stay updated with Guidewire advancements: Keep abreast of the latest Guidewire features, functionalities, and industry trends to provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

  9. Documentation and knowledge sharing: Document technical designs, configurations, and solutions, and share knowledge with the team to foster collaboration and learning.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong experience in Guidewire development, specifically in Property and Casualty (PC), Billing Center (BC), and Claim Center (CC) modules.

  • Proficient in Guidewire tools and technologies, including Guidewire Studio, Gosu, and Guidewire Configuration.

  • Solid understanding of insurance industry concepts and processes.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Guidewire ACE Cloud certification.

  • ITIL/ITSM knowledge and certification

  • Experience with integration of Guidewire applications with external systems.

  • Knowledge of Java/J2EE and related frameworks

Positions based in Quebec: Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients and project teams

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
