POSITION OVERVIEW

The Globe and Mail is looking for a Digital Marketing Copywriter to join our Product Design team.The ideal candidate is a gifted storyteller and visionary, passionate about creating fresh, forward and bold creative ideas and messaging with brand objectives and target consumers in mind. You bring a wealth of related industry insight, andyou will feel at home in a fast-paced environment collaborating with multiple stakeholders on critical strategic campaigns across the Acquisition and Retention business channels. Your will engage and capture our audience by showing them the premium quality and value of subscribing to The Globe and Mail.

You will:

  • Have the opportunity to work on one of Canada's cherished and historic brands while supporting the best journalism in the business.

  • Partner with the marketing designer and your revenue stakeholders to understand business objectives and our audience to deliver highly creative campaign pieces across the website, apps, email, social media and print ads.

  • Tap into user research for inspiration to conceptualize persuasive and thought-provoking creative concepts.

  • Do competitive research to stay current with award-winning work, trends and consumer insights to keep our content fresh and effective.

  • Maintain high standards of copywriting and quality control.

  • Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of all copywriting assignments.

You have :

  • 5+ years of experience as a copywriter in an agency environment.

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, English lit or a related field.

  • A portfolio demonstrating your creativity and copywriting skills and experience working on comprehensive digital campaigns and initiatives such as product launches, events, digital and print ads and marketing collateral, social media and email.

  • Strong, analytical business acumen.

  • Aptitude for quick and ad-hoc creative thinking.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • A meticulous eye for detail.

VACCINATION POLICY:

All offers of employment with The Globe and Mail are conditional upon the candidate being Fully Vaccinated.
