What You’ll Be Doing

The goal of CIBC’s Capital Markets business is to be the premier client-focused wholesale bank based in Canada. To deliver on this, the Capital Markets arm of CIBC provides a wide range of credit, capital markets, investment banking, and research products and services to government, institutional, corporate and retail clients in Canada and in key markets around the world.

The Client Strategy team is responsible for marketing, events and sponsorships to support our corporate client relationships. As a Client Strategy Marketing Coordinator, you’ll manage the day-to-day administrative activities in support of the Client Strategy team. You will also be responsible for managing one of our Vice Chair’s busy calendars and keeping everyone abreast of all of their speaking engagements. In addition to the day-to-day administrative tasks, you will have an opportunity to work on special projects as they arise.

Some of the day-to-day tasks include: administration of marketing database to ensure up to date accurate details, weekly reporting on marketing activities, distribution of client ticketing for events and marketing inventory management.

  • Confidentiality & Decision Making – You’ll exercise the utmost discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; identify and raise issues where appropriate. Consistently apply discretion and autonomy to make decisions within generally defined parameters.

  • Relationship Building - You have the ability to deal with clients in a professional and courteous manner, and to develop and leverage strong professional working relationships. You function as a liaison between other internal departments and/or others outside of the firm as appropriate.
