What you will do

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise-level data solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and real-time analytics platforms, using Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Azure.

  • Design, develop, adapt, and maintain data warehouse architecture and relational databases that support data mining.

  • Perform solution shaping and data architecture, including estimation, solution planning, and creation of statements of work to meet customer requirements.

  • Support pre-sales efforts by providing product, technical, and business expertise for proposals, customer presentations, and/or tailored software demonstrations.

  • Lead delivery teams and mentor a young and talented delivery team, providing them with leadership, knowledge, support, and experience.

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in data architecture technologies, products, and trends.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in our data architecture processes, and proactively recommend strategies for optimization and efficiency.

What you bring to the role

  • 10+ years of consulting experience with data architecture for enterprise customers.

  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing large-scale data architectures and data migration projects with modern data platform.

  • Experience in providing pre-sales support, including developing proposals and conducting demonstrations for data architecture solutions.

  • Experience with scoping, estimating, cost analysis, and resource planning of projects.

  • Experience in leading delivery teams.

  • Proficiency in Data Integration (Sourcing, Storage, and Migration) and Data Quality, Profiling, and Cleansing.

  • Strong understanding of cloud analytics and data management.

  • Proficiency in using SQL and Python.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate commercial requirements into technical solutions including the ability to communicate technical concepts and their impact to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Hands-on experience with data processing and analytics using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake or Azure Databricks is a plus

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus.

  • A university degree with a preference for Computer Science or related field.

  • Microsoft Certifications on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Engineer are highly desirable

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $112,000 to $182,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
