Building on the success of our procurement services with our customers, we are looking for a Manager to continue the growth of our strategic procurement practice. We want to build a team of procurement specialists, centered on having capabilities in the delivery knowledge of Ivalua eProcurement tool.

As part of a small but growing team, the new member of our team will be required to perform a variety of roles and functions, stimulating initiative while making the most of their versatility and curiosity to learn, in an environment conducive to serving our customers in the best possible way.

The successful candidate will be called upon to collaborate on a variety of consulting mandates covering many areas of procurement - from strategic sourcing, sustainable sourcing and transactional sourcing to supplier, performance and risk management. They will be a team member in all these areas and will also provide coaching in terms of purchasing governance, processes, organization and technology.

What you will do

Depending on client’s needs, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

  • As a member of this team, you will take on engagements to lead the business case formulation, to help our clients visualize the Ivalua technology transformation journey for their business requirements and then drive the sales & delivery cycle of the business transformation enabled by Ivalua technology.

  • You will use an agnostic view on the eProcurement technologies to help our clients, develop and implement strategies and operational improvement projects within their own organization, as well as within their extended network with suppliers and channel partners.

  • You will be leading the end-to-end project delivery, with multiple project stream leads reporting into you and in delivering strong proposals.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in procurement.

  • You will play a role in supporting the development of thought leadership and eminence, addressing the latest in supply chain innovation and digital supply chain.

  • Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.

  • Train and mentor team members on Ivalua procurement solution.

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status and performance.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential new procurement opportunities.

  • Work with a variety of high-profile clients across key industries and drive Procurement initiatives (involving technologies or stand-along functional projects).

  • Work with internal management team to support Ivalua delivery practice development through strategic planning, recruitment support and marketing KPMG’s presence in the marketplace.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering, or equivalent undergraduate degree combined with relevant work experience.

  • Consulting experience (internal or external) considered a strong asset.

  • At least 7 years of experience in a combination of core procurement skills and consulting experience.

  • Ivalua certification – L1, L2 and/or L3 is an asset.

  • Experience in business transformation, whether in terms of performance improvement, process review, drafting of governance documents and/or technology redesign.

  • Experience, curiosity and interest in rapidly evolving procurement topics, such as sustainable sourcing, third-party risk management, among others.

  • Knowledge of end-to-end procurement solutions (Ivalua, Coupa, SAP Ariba, etc.) would be an asset.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and presentation skills (including exposure to public forums/larger audiences).

  • Must have strong sense of Procurement business acumen and ability to write a business case.

  • Experienced in procurement system project delivery environment, including but not limited to pace of delivery, organizational & people change management, stakeholder management.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to analyze the complex structure of a company's problems and synthesize findings and conclusions.

  • Autonomy and a strong sense of initiative

  • Meticulous and conscientious.

  • Strong leadership skills.
