Purpose:

This position is responsible for providing management in the processing and maintenance of counterparty static data in multiple systems for the business lines supported by Global Wholesale Operations in Toronto.

The role has the primary responsibility for the on-going support, management and oversight of counterparty static data and related day to day activities. Included and not limited to, client onboarding and the day-to-day maintenance of client data across derivate, cash and repo source systems. In addition, the support to 3rd party and ancillary platforms.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Manages the day-to-day data requirements of the various GBM business lines on the processing and/or maintenance of counterparty static data for all core processing systems across all regions.

  • Manage the ongoing maintenance of data to ensure that changes are processed in a timely fashion as it pertains to client profiles or preferences, core documentation renewal updates and/or jurisdictions being added to a client account/relationship. Assist Team Members/Sr Manager/Director/VP to complete BAU and or any tasks assigned by Line Manager/Sr Management to fulfill regulatory as well as internal requirements to run the team smoothly in timely and professional manner to reduce operational as well as other potential risks.

  • Identifies and evaluates various automation and technology solutions that improve productivity, cost, quality, capacity and scale, standardization and cycle time of data flows and processes; works collaboratively with GWRT to design and build the necessary technology platforms and/or tools.

  • Oversight and Management on direct and indirect budget operational cost allocations to the supported GBM businesses. Manage costs by reviewing and implementing process improvement initiatives, technology rationalization and resource optimization to reduce operational cost.

  • Builds and maintains an effective high performing and quality global team by providing hands-on leadership and on-going direction, subject matter advice and guidance. Optimizes performance, engagement, teamwork, and motivation through; effective organizational design, defining clear roles and responsibilities, setting challenging but realistic goals, performance expectations and timely feedback.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma combined with relevant business experience would be given consideration.

  • Strong technical background in data management and onboarding and experience in financial services information technology.

  • Strong operating knowledge of current and upcoming change in rules and regulations such as a FATCA, Volker, EMIR, Dodd Frank as applicable to GBM businesses and in accordance with the relevant governing regulator bodies, specifically IIROC; OSFI; FINRA, SEC, etc., if any.

  • Established track record in recruiting, building, coaching, and motivating a skilled, high performing team of operations professionals operating across multiple regions and multi-time zones.

Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
