Canadian Tire Manager, Corporate Financial Plan & Analysis in Toronto, Ontario
What you’ll do
Our Finance team plays a key role in helping us stay competitive in the ever-changing retail environment by providing accurate, timely, and high-quality financial planning & reporting, analysis, and advice to the CFO and the Board of Directors. Reporting to the AVP, Corporate Planning & Reporting, this role partners with FP&A, Treasury, and accounting teams to analyze, plan and forecast CTC’s consolidated financial statement and provide financial insights.
Develop compelling and innovative financial reports that provide key insights and recommendations, enabling sound business decisions that adapt to the evolving landscape.
Lead regular forecasting and annual planning exercises to identify potential areas of opportunity and risk.
Drive long-term outlook planning, aligning financial models with the strategic direction of the company for future growth.
Utilize analytical functions to analyze and decipher performance data effectively.
Act as a subject matter expert for special projects, bringing your expertise to drive successful outcomes.
Oversee the design and development of documentation for major processes, enabling business partners and new team members to understand financial models, drive efficiencies, and improve performance.
Foster a positive work environment by leading, coaching, and empowering team members to solve problems, resulting in a highly engaged and collaborative team.
What you bring
Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
Finance designation (CPA, CFA)
5+ years progressive experience in finance roles
Budgeting, forecasting and planning experience, as well as extensive experience with financial modeling
Proven ability to develop and lead high performing teams to success
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills; superior cross functional relationship/collaboration skills
Strong drive and ability to delivery under timelines
Experience developing and leading high performing team/peers to success.
